Dr. Koehler was born in LaSalle, Illinois. He graduated from Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby with an Associate of Science Degree. He went on to attend the University of Saint Francis (USF) in Joliet, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1998. While at Saint Francis, he was an NAIA Academic All-American Student Athlete. Dr. Koehler then studied at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He was on the Dean’s List and a member of Gold Key and Beta Sigma Kappa international honor societies. He received his Doctorate of Optometry in 2002.
In 2003, Dr. Koehler joined the Gailey Eye Clinic to provide primary eye care including routine eye exams, contact lens service, treatment and management of ocular diseases, and post-operative surgical care.
Dr. Koehler is recently married and enjoys golfing, fishing, and tennis.
