Dr. Robert M. Lee was born and raised in Galesburg, Illinois. He graduated with Honors from the University of Notre Dame in 1986 earning a Bachelor of Science Degree.
He received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine, in 1990 while also being elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society for outstanding medical students. After a one year internship at Columbus Hospital in Chicago, Dr. Lee then received his specialty training in surgery and diseases of the eye at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Lee has a special interest in the latest techniques of cataract surgery, including the use of Lifestyle Intraocular Lenses to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses after surgery. He also has great interest and experience in corneal transplantation.
He is experienced in the treatment of all types of glaucoma and related glaucoma surgical procedures. In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Lee provides nonsurgical medical eye care for many eye diseases as well as family eye services for glasses and contact lenses.
Dr. Lee is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the McLean County Medical Society and the Illinois State Medical Society.

Dr. Lee is married and has six children. He enjoys family activities and sports, especially baseball and basketball.
