Joseph G. Harman, M.D.
Dr. Joseph G. Harman joined Gailey Eye Clinic in July of 2000. He enjoys all aspects of ophthalmology and vision care, and has a special interest in small-incision cataract surgery, and laser and surgical treatment of glaucoma. He is also experienced in laser treatment of diabetic eye disease.
Educational background
Dr. Harman attended Western Illinois University and graduated with honors in May of 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Before attending medical school, Dr. Harman was a stock broker and a registered investment advisor. He began medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1992, and received his medical degree in 1996.
After completing a one year internship at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dr. Harman received his specialty training in ophthalmology at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He acted as Chief Resident there from 1999 to 2000.
Memberships
Dr. Harman enjoys spending his free time with his wife and four children. His other interests include golfing, boating and fishing.
