Ara Aprahamian, M.D.

Dr. Ara Aprahamian joined Gailey Eye Clinic in July of 2004. He has a special interest in surgical and laser treatment of glaucoma, "no stitch no patch" cataract surgery, laser treatment for diabetes and other ocular conditions. He also performs some plastic surgery procedures.

Educational background

Dr. Aprahamian received his Bachelor's Degree from Grinnell College in Iowa, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He then went on to the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City where he received his medical degree in 1999.

He participated in a clinical research fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in 1999 and 2000. He then went on to complete his internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and then completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

He enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and daughter. He also enjoys sports.
